NOCA Call Off is a text-messaging (SMS) program operated by Northwest Ohio Classical Academy to report staff absences and coordinate substitute coverage. It is offered to NOCA employees and pre-approved substitute teachers.
Participation is voluntary. You are not required to enroll as a condition of employment, pay, scheduling, substitute approval, or your ability to report an absence. Employees and pre-approved substitute teachers may opt in by completing NOCA's staff/substitute SMS consent form or by texting JOIN to (567) 352-3561 from their mobile phone after being directed to do so by NOCA onboarding materials. When opting in, users are shown the SMS consent language for NOCA Call Off, including the types of messages they will receive, message frequency, message and data rate notice, STOP/HELP instructions, and links to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Staff who do not opt in are contacted by phone or email instead. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP, with no effect whatsoever on your employment, pay, scheduling, substitute approval, or standing.
Messages include absence confirmations, requests to cover a class (with YES/NO replies), assignment confirmations, lesson-plan reminders, and coverage alerts to administrators.
Message frequency varies. Messages are sent only as needed — when you report an absence, are asked to cover a class, or when coverage updates occur. This is not a fixed or scheduled-frequency program.
Message and data rates may apply. NOCA does not charge for participation; standard rates from your mobile carrier may apply to messages you send and receive.
You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message from this program. After you send STOP, you will receive one confirmation message and then no further messages, unless you opt back in.
